A deep rooting perennial whos roots are used for medicinal purposes. Earthworms breed well in the vicinity of Valarian.
All parts of the plant have sedative chemicals.

Growing tips: Plant in a fertile sandy soil with adequate moisture.

Position: full sun to semi shade

Height / spaciing: 80cm, 40 cm

Uses: This many has many medicianl uses which are derived from the root. It is high in magnesium and potassium.
Tea can be made from the leaves.
