Description
Barbarea vulgaris
A hardy biennial plant which is happy to grow in the kitchen garden. May also be grown in pots.
Still peppery like water cress.
Growing tips: Plant in a fertile soil with adequate moisture. Pick young leaves regularly. Leaves are more tender in semi shade.
Position: full sun to semi shade.
Height / spacing: 20cm, 30cm
Uses: Used in soups and salads. Land cress is hotter than water cress so use only half the quantity.
