Anthriscus cerefolium
An annual with decorative leaves and an aniseed-like flavour. Suited to growing in pots and in the garden.
A french favourite. Flowers appear in spring and summer.
Growing Tip: Plant in rich, moist, well-drained soil. Harvest before flowers appear. Keep well watered in hot weather.
Position: Full sun, Part shade. PLant in part shade during summer.
Height / Spacing: 35-50cm, 20-30cm
Use: Commonly used in French cuisine and in vegetable, egg, chicken and fish dishes and potato salads add just prior to serving
due to its delicate taste.
Companion Planting with broccoli, radishes and lettuce will enhance growth of these plants and to deter slugs.
