Description
Allium tuberosum
A hardy perennial with thin, flat onion-garlic flavoured leaves. White flowers appear during the summer months.
Growing tips: suited to a variety of soils but prefers well drained warm areas of the garden. Also suited to growing in a pot.
Position: Full sun
Height / spacing: 40cm, 30cm
Uses: Adds a subtle garlic / onion flavour to soups, salads and omelettes.
Said to repel aphids. Plant near tomatoes, roses, carrots.
