Beta vulgaris

This is an upright plant with white stems and dark green crinkled leaves. It is high in iron and can be grown all year round. Suited to pots as well as the garden.

 Growing tips: Plant in a fertile soil with adequate moisture. Individual stems or the whole plant may be harvested.

  Position: Full sun. Will tolerate light shade in the summer.

                Spacing: 30cm

 Harvest: from 6 weeks after planting.
